Firewatch

I am curious about this game.
It doesn’t give you much to go on. You are a recently divorced man named Henry. You have burned your bridges and have come to this vast wilderness of nothingness to prevent fires.

That is the premise the developers give you. But from the 34 minutes of gameplay IGN has shown us, we know that there are some mysteries surrounding you in this place.

These are the few things we know:

1. Delilah; there is a person in another fire lookout. You talk with her all the time over a walky talky but you do not see her in real life.

2. Early on (like day 1) you meet some teens by the lake. The plot involves those teens, but how? Have they gone missing? Are they murderous zombies? I don’t know. If they are just missing, is that because they suck in reading maps, or is there foul play?

3. Your tower gets ransacked. This means either those teens are complete douches, or somebody else is mad at you. Maybe it’s the previous watcher, who’s job you’ve stolen?

Either way you will do a lot of exploring the wilderness and try to unravel this mystery. I know I will. And you may join me on 10-feb-2016 on my twitch channel.

” Firewatch is a mystery set in the woods of Wyoming, where your only emotional lifeline is the person on the other end of a handheld radio. You play as a man named Henry who has retreated from his messy life to work as a fire lookout in the wilderness. Perched high atop a mountain, it’s your job to look for smoke and keep the wilderness safe. An especially hot and dry summer has everyone on edge. Your supervisor, a woman named Delilah, is available to you at all times over a small, handheld radio — and is your only contact with the world you’ve left behind. But when something strange draws you out of your lookout tower and into the world, you’ll explore a wild and unknown environment, facing questions and making interpersonal choices that can build or destroy the only meaningful relationship you have. “
